DOM MODERNA
2018
Inspiration to design a conception of a single-family house was to create a form which perfectly fits its surrounding and is also an organism which lives and levitates in the environment, allows natural light through and coexists with nature. Separateness of the top floor from the rest provides privacy and is kind of a limited segment of reality which hovers above the open zone made of glass. Heavy, industrial top solid with elevation made of plates seems to be flying above the ground but actually it rests on four columns and a netting composed of substrings of reinforced concrete creating a bracket. The construction of the whole house is exposed. Inside you can see beams protruding from the ceiling which makes the interior very authentic. The ground floor of the building is totally open and transparent. It has less square meters than the top floor above. Thanks to the curtain hanging outside along the perimeter of the top floor, people inside this space can protect their own privacy. This mobile curtain also provides the ability for elevations to be changed. Diversity of ground levels and embed made of glass ground floor lower than the rest of the lands also provide privacy and intimacy for people inside. Each one of the three full boxes downstairs has different functions. There are several rectangular skylights on the flat roof and on each side of the structure which are cut out of solid and covered by the facade made of Corten plates. Square - shaped sketch refers to modern architecture of Saska Kepa full of cubical buildings
